to the people who keep saying Chuck is a monster.
Yes, i agree, he has done a lot of bad things in the past. But he has CHANGED for the BETTER.
Chuck Bass has actually lived the worst life out of everyone. He was hated by his father, he never knew his mother, got screwed over by someone he thought was his mother. His uncle has tried to screw him over many a time and even take his company. His father died, he’s been in a car accident, gotten shot, and has simply never had a good role model in his life. It a wonder he wasn’t even WORSE than he has been.
But he’s learned. He’s learned how to better himself, how to rise above the way he was raised and the life he has lived and to put himself out there - and not only think about himself but to think about others, to care about others, not just blair, but also Serena, Lily, Nate and even at one point, Dan. You can tell that he actually did care for Dan from the last episode, when he asked “Were you ever really my friend?” That goes to show that he WAS hurt but Dan’s actions, not just because Dan took away Blair, but because Chuck did believe that a friendship was actually forming.
Yes, he has done a lot of bad things in the past, but nobody is perfect. It’s all about what you do with your present and future, and I believe he has changed for the better.
As for Dan, whom you call a perfect saint, i believe the opposite is occuring for him. At the beginning he was innocent. He was one of the best characters on the show, the funniest, even. He did what was good for everyone else, he was a great guy. But now i believe his motives have become selfish. Sure, he does all these nice things for Blair, but i believe in the end they are not for her happiness, but to make her want HIM more. All his motives fall back on what HE WANTS, which is Blairs affections. He has basically torn her apart from not only Chuck, but her friendship with Serena, which she had valued so much at one time in this show. He has put her in this bubble - this “Dair” bubble, and nothing else can come in. In other words, Dair has alienated any other pairings/friendships that were once important to the viewers and to the show itself. Also remember that it is DANS fault Blair is broke and her marriage imploded - NOT CHUCKS.
So the next time you say Chuck is a monster, remember that Dan is not an angel either. While one was bad and one was good, the roles seem to be reversing as the seasons go on.
/end rant
It’s not like I’ll stop watching, but I’m actually starting to cringe with every new gossip girl episode.
I’m done with Blair. Done with Dan. And apart from their relationship making no sense in terms of Chair, there is another reason I hate this new relationship.
It’s changing all the beloved characters I once held so dear to my heart. It’s making me not like some of my old favorites. It seems the writer’s are tossing some of the old favorites random storylines so they can mainly focus on one relationship. One that doesn’t even make sense.
I miss the old Gossip Girl. I really do. I REALLY want it back, and I can’t be the only one…
So Gossip Girl just finished…
And all i have to say is
I’m officially rooting for Nate&Chuck&Serena to get together and bond over the ridiculousness that this show has become.
Chair Fans, Dair Fans, and logical people..
This is not me trashing Dair at all, and unlike some of the Dair fans I’ve seen, I’m not telling you to go die or whatnot.
I just want us to sit back from Gossip Girl for one minute, pretend we have NEVER seen the show and think logically.
In the span of like, 3-4 episodes, please tell me WHY Blair would say this:

only to go and do this:

Ship who you want, whatever. But it just doesn’t make sense in a logical sense. The writers weren’t thinking straight when they did this. Maybe halfway through last season, sure. But not after Blair marries Louis [whom she did kind of love, until he screwed her over] and after she tells Chuck she loves him more everyday and wants to be his equal when they are together again.
I’m just saying. Please, Dair fans, if you’re going to say something negative, don’t be rude. Telling me to go die or to eff off will just make you and your ship look worse. :)
Grammy Coverage 2012: Katy Perry
I love Katy’s blue hair - to me, she is beautiful and can rock any hair color, and this is no exception. While a lot of people have stated they love this dress, i feel it falls flat on Miss Perry. I feel as if the fact she just went through a divorce impacted her slightly on the carpet, which is normal - she seemed more reserved and less playful tonight. However, her performance was great, loved the magic trick! I really thought the power went out! Overall: B
Grammy Coverage 2012: Bruno Mars
For me, he stole the entire show. Amazing performance by an amazing singer, dancer and personality. I loved him even more than i already did after this!! overall: A+
Grammy Coverage 2012: Rihanna
To me, Rihanna never does much wrong. I love this girl to bits. She had some definite ups and downs tonight, if we are to be completely honest. Her dress is extremely cute, although kinda simple - if she was the one designing it, I would have thought it would be more crazy. I love her blonde, however she has to dye her roots because that trend [showing your dark roots against bright hair] is an awful one and makes you look scraggly. Singing-wise, she was fantastic in We Found Love. As much as i LOVE LOVE LOVE Princess of China, her and Coldplay [whom I also adore] didn’t seem to mesh as well as they did on the CD. Overall: B
